As general manager and principal at ShareBuilder Advisors, LLC, a subsidiary of ING Direct, Stuart Robertson leads all sales, marketing, product and operating functions for ShareBuilder 401k — a fast growing leader in 401(k) plans for small businesses ranging from 1-250 employees in size.

Stuart joined ShareBuilder 401k right after the launch of the unit in late 2005 and has played a key role in helping thousands of small business owners and their employees to have an intuitive and affordable 401(k) plan. The company's online solution and singular focus on ETF/index-based investments makes it easy for any small business to set-up and manage their retirement accounts. In 2009, Stuart also helped to design and launch a new service that enables registered investment advisers to resell ShareBuilder 401k plans via an online platform that generates custom proposals in a matter of minutes.

Stuart also serves on the investment committee of ShareBuilder Corporation which manages investment products offered through ShareBuilder.com and ShareBuilder 401k. He's widely recognized as a small business expert and regularly supports media with expert commentary on retirement plans, investing and tax management.

Robertson earned a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Colorado and holds an MBA in marketing from Indiana University. He also holds the series 7, 66, and 24 financial licenses. Stuart lives in Seattle with his wife and two sons.
