ShareBuilder 401k is hiring an Inside Sales Associate focused on helping self-employed business owners learn the benefits of Solo 401(k) plans. The role focuses on calling marketing generated prospects (warm leads) to educate them on the benefits of 401(k) plans and the value of ShareBuilder 401k's solutions. You will also help owners get started with their plans and provide investing and 401(k) education ongoing.


You will be a key member of the team dedicated to helping Americans save towards financial freedom! You will be educated on our 401(k) and retirement solutions, and if you do not have a financial advisor license (65 or 66), we will support and sponsor you to obtain licensing. Your pay has a salary and a monthly bonus based on adding new clients and getting them started with funding their plan. This role offers a career path to selling other ShareBuilder 401k products and more senior levels.


Your Daily Adventures

  • Calling new and existing prospects each day to connect, educate, and help business owners make a decision on starting a ShareBuilder 401k
  • Schedule and call new clients that have not yet funded their plan to get them up and running
  • Provide feedback and learning to your manager, sales team, and the product & marketing teams to continue to improve how we help our prospects, clients and team to be more successful
  • Work actively in Salesforce.com to manage prospects and clients, collecting and recording data in an effort to best serve our clients
  • Send emails and approved materials to prospects to supplement calls and learning needs
  • Schedule video calls and demonstrate various items a client may need to better understand
  • Proficiently and clearly share the ins and outs (pros and cons) of various retirement plan products and sound investing principles
  • Provide encouragement and support to your prospects, clients, and team
  • Help more Americans get started on saving for a better tomorrow!


Skills & Qualifications that Help Make this Gig a Great Match

  • Actively manage your prospect and client lists with a high level of activity (calls and emails) to meet and exceed your and the team's monthly goals
  • Track and maintain key data and education notes and fields in Salesforce.com to expertly and proficiently service a large pipeline of prospects and clients
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred; high school diploma, GED or equivalent minimum
  • Ideal candidate has 2+ years of sales experience
  • Experience in selling and educating prospects on complex products
  • Quick learner that will be highly proficient with the ins and outs of 401(k)s, SEPs, SIMPLEs, and IRAs, IRS retirement product tax rules, as well as investing education
  • Highly effective communication skills with outstanding presentation and conversational abilities
  • Brings a positive and high energy attitude to your role each day
  • Is able to overcome objections with sound, convincing points that clearly are to the benefit of the prospect or client
  • Is competitive and also a team player
  • Is accepting of others no matter their background, beliefs, or ethnicity
  • Holding a 65 or 66 financial advisor license a big plus -- if not, the expectation is you will study for and pass this exam in the first 90 day
  • Familiarity with CRM /Salesforce.com and Teams will help you step in and be productive quickly
  • Straight shooter and always errs on the side of doing the right thing


Base Salary: $57,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year (plus monthly commission and annual bonus)


If you are not based in Seattle and are interested, you may apply, but expect that you will move to Seattle.
